Why did you choose your industry?My degree is in TV/Film Production and I worked as a Producer for years before getting involved in Casting. I previously owned JW23 Casting which was based in Los Angeles, we now are based in Atlanta. I have a keen eye for talent and a large network to pull from. We specialize in real people casting.
Who are your typical clients?Fortune 500 Brands, agencies, production companies, directors.
What do you like best about being in this industry?Each job is different, the finished product is rewarding, I like dealing with people and giving them an opportunity to appear on camera.
What are common problems you see?Smaller budgets, tighter deadlines, less work overall. Other less experienced vendors attempting to do what we do then we have to come in and fix it for a cut rate.
What advice/tips do you have for clients?Come to us with your casting needs first and we will save you a lot of headaches as the deadline approaches.
When is your busy season?No specific season, we can be busy anytime.
What keeps you up at night?Finding the next gig, keeping up with the industry and evolving.
How do you market yourself to grow/expand your business?Direct outreach to potential clients, constant networking, word of mouth referrals and repeat business.
How involved are you in the community?I am the director of programs for Artists on Expedition. I have been involved in youth sports in the community as well as involved in my neighborhood.

What advice would you give to someone thinking of getting into this business?Have a back up plan, the industry is changing. Stay on top of new technology.
What do you enjoy doing in your free time?Traveling, sports, pickleball, live music, spending time with family, reading, trivia and game nights.
